[Dream Lesson] Report from Imamachi Primary School in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture

On Monday, December 2nd, 2024, as a contribution to the local community around the venue of DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100, which is being held as part of Trail Runners' SDGs project, the "National Mountain Region Future Building Project," we held a "Dream Lesson" at Imamachi Primary School in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture, to teach students how to think devise ways to make money by doing what they love, and make a living by themselves.

This "Dream Lesson" was implemented by Imamachi Primary School request. Matsunaga served as the lecturer.

The "Dream Lesson" was held for one 45-minute period. In the first half, the teacher, observing the students' reactions, flexibly asked Matsunaga any questions that came to mind in response, and Matsunaga answered them one by one. In the middle, in response to a request from the teacher to teach students exercises that they can do indoors by themselves in the winter, when students tend to be less active, Matsunaga introduced a muscle training that he came up with and did on his own when he was in elementary school. At the end, there was a Q&A session, where Matsunaga answered as many questions as he could from the students.
